Ten Hag Unsure Of Adequate Funds Ahead Of Summer Transfer Window

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has admitted he is unaware of the financial power of the club ahead of the summer transfer window.

The record English champions announced late last year that the board was exploring a full sale as they look to boost the growth of the club via strategic alternatives.

Last Friday was pinned as the final deadline for interested buyers to make bids, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim submitting bids.

The final decision however, lies with the Glazer family -- a decision which, if not made on time, could impact Ten Hag's plans.

Noticable improvements have been made as United are on the path to a top four finish and could end with a double as an FA Cup win in May would add to their Carabao Cup win.

Quizzed about the financial power of the club ahead of the summer window and the takeover process, Ten Hag replied:

“No, I don’t have. I don’t have influence on that, I don’t have. Also I don’t know.

“The only thing what I know is that Man United is one of the biggest clubs and I think it’s among maybe two biggest clubs in the world from a fanbase perspective.

“So, I think this club has to compete for the highest in the world, so Champions League, Premier League.

“But in football you need funds to construct squads because in the end of the day the level from your players makes if you are successful or not.”
